Info
Friendly Fires bring their album release show to Thekla in Bristol on January 24, 2027, for an intimate set built around Dig Deeper. Expect the trio’s trademark sweet spot where indie rock meets club instincts: tight, elastic grooves, dance-punk snap, nu-disco shine, and those shimmering guitars that keep everything airborne. Led by Ed Macfarlane’s fluid vocals, the band plays with contrast all the way through, mixing pop clarity with electronic textures and that live-band tension that makes their songs hit harder on stage.
If you’ve followed them from the early EPs to the self-titled debut, Pala, and their more recent return with Inflorescent, this night is a chance to hear how Dig Deeper fits into the same line: melodic and direct, but always wired for movement. A focused, close-up performance that’s less about the big production and more about the rhythm, the hooks, and the pulse.
