Info
Girl Group lands at Epic Studios in Norwich on January 27, 2027 with the kind of pop band energy that’s built from the inside out. Formed in Liverpool by five musicians who met at LIPA, the quintet—Katya Birkeland, Lily Christlow, Thea Gundersen, Mia Halvorsen and Maria Tollisen—plays with the idea of the “girl group” and flips it into something self-made, collaborative, and fully in their own hands.
On stage, their songs move fast between tight indie-pop hooks and sharper edges: bright choruses, wired guitars, and a real sense of voices working as one. From early cuts like “Life is Dumb” and “Lil’s Room” to later tracks such as “Yay! Saturday”, “Your Fantasy” or the punchier “Rage Song”, they balance sweetness with bite, writing about relationships, group life, and the pressure of expectations. A show that’s about chemistry as much as melodies, and a band that sounds like five personalities pulling in the same direction.
