Info
Will Young comes to Nottingham on February 28, 2027, for a show at the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall that draws on a career built well beyond his early Pop Idol breakthrough. His voice sits right on the line between pop and soul, with a taste for clean, modern production and melodies that don’t rush the emotion. Expect a set that moves between upbeat, electro-tinged tracks and quieter, more intimate moments, the kind of adult pop he’s been refining since his early albums.
From the early 2000s staples through the more synthetic shift of Echoes, and on to later releases like Lexicon, Crying on the Bathroom Floor and Light It Up, Will Young’s live shows tend to play with contrast: groove and restraint, clarity and warmth, interpretation and songwriting. With his theatre experience shaping the way he delivers a song, this Nottingham date promises a performance led by nuance, phrasing, and that easy sense of storytelling.
