Info
Current Swell comes to Patronaat in Haarlem on April 15, 2027, bringing the energetic mix the band has been known for since their inception on the West Coast of Canada. The quartet from Victoria balances indie rock, folk, and a light surf-and-roots vibe: songs that work just as well for singing along as for rocking out, with a strong emphasis on melody and vocal harmonies.
Live, you hear how their early, acoustically driven songwriting has evolved over the years toward a fuller band sound. Expect guitars that sit closer together, tighter rhythms with a hint of blues, and sometimes a subtle reggae swing, without ever losing its direct, on-the-road feel. Current Swell plays as a band built on touring and festival stages: compact, warm, and with that typical drive that naturally fills the venue.
