Info
King King bring their British blues-rock to Worpswede, at the Music Hall Worpswede on 17 April 2027. Formed in Glasgow around singer and guitarist Alan Nimmo, the band stands for a sound that takes blues as its foundation and charges it with soul, melodic rock, and classic overtones. Live, one can expect a blend of powerful guitars, warm keyboards, and Nimmo's raspy voice, weaving through refrains that go straight to the ear without becoming slick.
In the set, songs from early records such as Take My Hand and Standing in the Shadows meet the rockier profile of Reaching for the Light and Exile & Grace. Also included is material from Maverick, an album clearly designed for the stage: catchy structures, a good balance between slower moments and more forceful passages, plus those soulful and gospel-tinged tones in the arrangements that give King King their own twist.
