Info
On May 7, 2027, Doctor Krápula brings their show 'Arte es resistencia' to Knust in Hamburg—and that means a concert like a block party, only with more bite and edge. The Bogotá-based band has been weaving ska, punk, reggae, and Latin American rhythms since the late 1990s, turning it into a sound that constantly shifts yet holds together.
At the core is the idea of +CUMBIA +POWER: rock classics suddenly appear as cumbia versions, while Latin hits, dressed in punk rock garb, move forward. Added to this is the direct on-stage energy for which Doctor Krápula is known — with moments when the audience helps decide which version to dance or headbang to next.
'Arte es resistencia' provides the right groundwork for this: Spanish-language songs with a clear stance that address social issues and environmental concerns not as preaching but as part of the celebration. If you're looking for an evening that merges the dance floor with a spirit of resistance, this is the place.
