Info
UNKLE lands in Exeter for UNKLE Sounds at Exeter Phoenix on October 23, 2026, bringing James Lavelle’s long-running, ever-shifting project back into a live setting. Born from the UK electronic and trip-hop underground, UNKLE has always worked like a moving collective: studio craft, DJ culture and band energy feeding the same cinematic pulse.
Expect a set built on that signature mix of breakbeats, hazy electronics, slow-burn grooves and a rock edge that’s grown stronger over the years. From the sample-driven, film-noir tension of the early era to later material where guitars, voices and textured production take more space, UNKLE’s music is made for dark rooms and big sound systems. Special guests are announced, keeping the night in the spirit of UNKLE’s history: collaborations, shifting formats, and a show that never stays in one lane for long.
