Info
Rock, new wave, post-punk.
Doors open at 7:30 PM. Peter Hook & The Light on stage at 8:30 PM at La Laiterie.
A founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the Class of 2026, following a vote in which fans of both bands took part.
Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the band will perform in full the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, the recording of which ended shortly before Ian Curtis's death, with a posthumous release in 1980.
Since then, these two albums have regularly ranked near the top of album charts, established by critics as well as by the public. They laid the foundations of a heritage that continues to endure: an iconic visual identity, whose cover art has inspired many T-shirts, a production credited to Martin Hannett, and two albums that remain a major influence for many bands of the past four decades.
