On December 6, 2026, at the Cité de la Musique, Jeff Mills takes techno out of his usual playground for a rare duo with harpist Kety Fusco. A pioneer of Detroit, DJ, composer and producer, Mills has since the 1980s delved into a tense, precise music, nourished by science fiction and cosmic obsessions. Here, his machines meet the strings of a harpist who breaks the codes of her instrument, between acoustic gestures and sonic experiments.
The creation unfolds like a space narrative: a course set for the star Vega, 24 light-years from Earth. In this system, Kety Fusco embodies a solitary presence, soon joined by Mills to translate into music the experience of a planet whose star becomes brighter, hotter, to the point of agony. A face-to-face encounter where pulsations and materials respond to one another, between narration, rhythmic tension and vertigo.
