With J. Bernardt, Jinte Deprez (Balthazar) allows himself a sidestep: less rock, more fluid, at the crossroads of indie pop, R&B, soul, and discreet electronics where the voice takes center stage. On January 29, 2027 at La Gaîté Lyrique, in Paris, he comes to present this solo repertoire built on the margins of his band, between melodic textures, slow or fractured rhythms, and writing that favors groove over lead guitars. In line with his recent comeback, the new track Four In The Morning sets the tone: pulsating drums, creeping synths, almost frenetic tension and a freer vocal performance. Written and recorded in Los Angeles with producer Paul Butler, the track feels like a metamorphosis embraced as its own, as if Deprez were definitively tracing his own path. On stage, one can expect a set conceived as a space apart, where the intimate and the danceable respond to one another without forcing it.
