Info
On 24 October 2026, The Wonder Stuff land at The LCR in Norwich with Inspiral Carpets for a night built on sharp songwriting and no-nonsense live punch.
Led by Miles Hunt, The Wonder Stuff bring that bracing, guitar-led alternative rock they honed from the late-80s grebo days, where clipped riffs meet big British pop choruses and a streak of dry bite. Expect a set that nods to the band’s classic run from The Eight Legged Groove Machine through Hup and Never Loved Elvis, while keeping the more rootsy turns they’ve folded in over the years, from folk-leaning textures to more acoustic detours.
Inspiral Carpets join the bill with their direct, melodic take on the Madchester-era crossover: indie and garage drive, danceable rhythms, and that instantly recognisable swirl of Clint Boon’s organ. With songs shaped for singalongs and a pace that doesn’t let up, they tap into the band’s early run of releases and the lean album era that followed, built for a loud room and a moving crowd.
