Info
DeVotchKa bring their shape-shifting, worldly indie to Bristol Beacon in Bristol on October 11, 2026. Born out of Denver’s late-’90s scene, the band built its own lane by mixing indie rock with Eastern European folk, mariachi touches, Balkan swing and cabaret drama, all tied together by Nick Urata’s voice and a real taste for orchestral color. Onstage, the core quartet often expands, letting strings, brass and unexpected tempo turns sit right next to punchier, tighter indie-pop moments.
If you know them from How It Ends or their work around Little Miss Sunshine, you’ll recognize that bittersweet momentum: melodies that feel classic but never polished, rhythms that travel, and arrangements that keep opening up as the songs move. Expect a set that leans into that contrast—melancholy and energy, intimacy and big-room sweep—with a support act warming up the night.
