LSD and the Search for God bring their San Francisco-bred mix of shoegaze and psychedelia to Komedia Brighton on October 11, 2026. Since the mid-2000s, the band has built a sound around swirling, saturated guitars, feedback layers, slow-moving rhythms and vocals sunk deep in reverb, where dream-pop melody meets spacey drones and fuzzed-out pop hooks.
First noticed with their self-titled EP (2007), they quickly became a word-of-mouth favorite in underground circles, with early comparisons ranging from My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive to Yo La Tengo, Spacemen 3 and Sonic Youth. Onstage, the point is immersion: volume, texture, and repetition that bends into a hypnotic flow, balancing blanket-warm harmonies with a dense, drifting wall of sound. Later releases like the 2017 EP Heaven Is a Place keep that same approach—melancholic melodies wrapped in thick guitars—built for people who like their gigs loud, hazy, and fully enveloping.
