Info
On November 21, 2026, Tigran Hamasyan takes the stage at the Opéra National de Bordeaux for a concert where the piano becomes an arena for adventure. An Armenian pianist and composer, he has forged a language all his own, somewhere between improvisational jazz, the pulsations of progressive rock, and melodies inherited from the folklore of his country. On stage, everything hinges on the tension between rhythmic precision and freedom, with a sense of groove that tilts the themes toward more electric motifs, then returns to passages that are almost suspended. This Bordeaux encounter is also an opportunity to enter his recent universe, nourished by long-term projects and albums that tell as much as they explore. Hamasyan loves narrative forms, cycles, motifs that transform, and he pushes them in concert until he finds the balance between trance, inner singing, and virtuosity without ostentation. A dense, direct set, conceived to draw you in.
