Info
After completing her final engagements at the Kiosk in Marquette-lez-Lille on March 23, 2023, Isabelle Aubret returns to the stage to present a brand-new one-woman show: You Can't Stop a Bird from Singing. A show written and directed by the artist herself, in which she reflects on the defining moments of her artistic career as well as her family and personal life, performing throughout the show a selection of songs from her repertoire. A moment when the performer reminds us how beautiful life is. How can one write in a few lines a life of 87 years? Impossible. Be curious and confident. I have so much to tell you, to make you smile, to make you laugh, perhaps to shed a tear or two, but with the strength of gathering again to share a few small treasures in song. It’s wonderful to be alive and to want to bring happiness again and again. Isabelle Aubret
