Info
On January 30, 2027, Gilla Band land at Hydrozagadka in Warsaw with the kind of set that thrives on friction and forward motion. Born in Dublin in 2011 (and known for years as Girl Band before switching names in 2021), the quartet has built its identity on a tight, relentless push-and-pull: pounding drums, guitar lines that scrape and spiral, bass that locks everything into a loop, and Dara Kiely’s voice shifting between clipped spoken bursts and sudden, jagged eruptions.
Across tracks drawn from Holding Hands with Jamie, the sharper angles of The Talkies and the more industrial-leaning pressure of Most Normal, their songs feel constructed around repetition and tension, then cracked open by noise and rhythmic stops. Expect something physical and nervy, where riffs don’t so much resolve as mutate in real time, and the band’s live precision turns chaos into structure.
