Info
Electric Six land in York for a live set at The Crescent on 24 November 2026, bringing their Detroit-born mix of rock bite and dancefloor drive. Built around sharp choruses, synthetic grooves and a deliberately twisted sense of humour, the band has spent years turning loud guitars and club rhythms into the same kind of songs you can shout, sweat to, and somehow both at once.
Led by the ever-present Dick Valentine, Electric Six have a catalogue that runs from their early-2000s breakout run to a steady stream of later records, always chasing that collision between glam tension, garage punch and new wave snap. Expect a show that leans hard on movement: riffs that hit like a rock band, beats that behave like a party, and the kind of onstage character work that keeps everything slightly unhinged without losing the groove. And yes, the set is likely to make room for the tracks that put them on the map, because that’s what Electric Six do best: make the room sing, then make it dance.
