Info
On 12 October 2026 at The Holloway in Norwich, Shadow World brings a label-focused night built around drone and ambient textures, with three acts on the bill.
Thea Grant, based in Oslo, comes from a background where pop and classical training gradually opened onto jazz and improvisation. In recent years she’s been digging into the meeting point between voice and electronics, shaping long-form pieces where harmony is pitched, warped and echoed into a hazy “Mercury Choir” feel. Expect vocals treated as a moving instrument: part melody, part mist, threading through slow pressure waves and suspended chords.
Reality and Trace Monument complete the showcase, extending the same deep-focus approach to sound: minimal elements, heavy atmosphere, and patient builds that reward close listening as the room shifts from silence to vibration and back again.
