With Bâtards, his second novel published in April 2026 by Le mot et le reste, JB Hanak offers the intimate account of a journey to Japan as well as a manifesto for electronic music conceived as what rock once was long ago: a liberation. Accompanied on electric guitar by Jeff Eat Gas, Hanak invites entering the text through a vivid, sensory experience.

A figure of the French folk scene of the 1970s, Emmanuelle Parrenin continues the adventure as she has always conceived it, between psychedelia, jazz and shamanism. Equipped with her hurdy-gurdy, harp, and Vosges zither, she is accompanied by Eat Gas on guitar. Jeff 'Eat Gas' is a musician, a member of Dr(Dr)One and Archive, guitarist for Emmanuelle Parrenin and Krystle Warren, and a composer of film scores.
