On March 13, 2027, Chicane brings An Evening With Chicane to XOYO Birmingham for a long-form set built for the full arc: slow-building intros, hands-in-the-air peaks, and those balearic stretches where the melodies do most of the talking. Behind the name is Nicholas Bracegirdle, a key figure in melodic electronic music since the mid-90s, always moving between trance, progressive house, ambient and chill-out without losing that warm, widescreen feel.
Expect a journey through the tracks that shaped his identity on dancefloors and beyond. “Offshore” still hits with its clean, uplifting glide; “Saltwater” adds that bittersweet vocal lift; and “Don’t Give Up”, his collaboration with Bryan Adams, shows how his production can lean pop without dropping the pulse. In Birmingham, the point isn’t a quick run-through of hits, but the kind of extended flow where you get time to settle into the atmosphere and let the night stretch out.
