On November 18, 2027, Ycare drops anchor in Gap, at the Quattro, with a new stage-ready chapter: a project devoted to Jacques Brel. After an eighth self-titled album and a major tour, the singer-songwriter returns to the core of the lyrics, but shakes them up: Brel revisited in a rockier, tenser reading, carried by arrangements that lean into tension and impact. The idea is not to copy, but to relocate these songs into today’s intensity, with a very visceral interpretation and a storytelling sense that fits his way of singing. On this show, Ycare also extends his collaborative dynamic by relying on arrangements co-signed with Pascal Obispo, in keeping with their ongoing collaboration. Expect a concert where Ycare’s Francophone pop, his love of guitars and direct melodies serve as a bridge to Brel’s universe, between heritage and present, without detours.
