On October 23, 2026, during ADE in Amsterdam, this pre-release evening centers on the legacy of Detroit techno and how it still resonates today. Expect a line-up that links the classic Metroplex sound with new interpretations, with no nostalgia as an endpoint.
Juan Atkins, one of the key figures behind the early Detroit sound, brings the spirit of Metroplex and Model 500: tight, repetitive rhythms, electro-style basslines and futuristic melodies that immediately reveal where techno began. Kenny Larkin represents the second wave: sharply cut grooves with a more abstract, spacious edge, somewhere between pure club energy and listening techno.
Octave One, the live duo of the Burden brothers, is known for sets where hardware and improvisation are central: warm, soulful and solid on the dance floor, with that typical Detroit mix of house feeling and percussive drive. On top of that, DJ Pierre colors the story from Chicago with acid house: build-up, tension and hypnotic 303 lines that make the link between the two cities tangible.
