Frequencies Roundtable

- 18:00-23:00
- Südpol Süderstraße 112, 20537 Hamburg, Alemania
Info
On September 11, we at Südpol will discuss the history behind the music that brings us together every weekend. Techno has its roots in Detroit's Black music history. Yet this history is still often told today without the people who shaped it. BIPOC artists still receive too little visibility, recognition, and space.
With our panel talk 'Invisible Frequencies: Black Roots, White Stages – Who Tells Techno History?' we want to discuss: What is made invisible? Who receives visibility and recognition today? And what must change in our club culture? Together with AGY3NA, DJ Minx, Josiane, and Juan Atkins, we will discuss the roots of Techno, Detroit, representation, and the present state of electronic music. The evening will be moderated by Michelle Minani and Wilson Solidarity. Come by, listen, and join the discussion.
