On October 11, 2026, S.Society invites Kangding Ray to Le Sucre in Lyon for a dive into electronic music that is both physical and precise. Behind this name, David Letellier has since the mid-2000s been developing a language at the boundary of techno, ambient, and more experimental sound research, refined between France and Berlin. His sets as well as his productions play on contrasts: detailed textures, deep bass, fragmented rhythms, and a real sense of space.
One can expect a journey that shifts without warning from the dancefloor to more abstract and immersive sequences, with his distinctive way of building tension in small layers, then releasing it in sharp pulses. After milestones such as Stabil, OR, Solens Arc, or more recently Ultrachroma, Kangding Ray arrives with a denser and more mobile material, where sonic color counts as much as the impact of the kick. An evening designed for listening as much as for dancing.
