On March 12, 2027, Cult of Luna return to Warsaw to present material from their new album 'In the Shadow of Your Shadow' at Progresja, and to remind why they have long been one of the pillars of European post-metal. The Umeå-based band builds songs on heavy guitars, dense textures, and long, slowly developing forms in which the tension works as powerfully as the noise. In their music you can hear roots in hardcore and sludge, but also a fondness for contrasts: from oppressive walls of sound to more spacious, hypnotic passages. The setlist will also feature moments recognizable from albums that marked successive stages of their development, from 'Somewhere Along the Highway' to 'Vertikal', 'Mariner' (recorded with Julie Christmas), 'A Dawn to Fear', and 'The Long Road North'. This is a concert for those who enjoy heaviness paired with atmosphere and a consistently mounting sense of culmination. The evening will be opened by Bruit, with an experimental, post-rock approach to form, and Youth Code, bringing nerve and aggression to EBM.
