On February 19, 2027, Emeli Sandé comes to the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham to mark 15 years of Our Version of Events, the record that put her voice and piano front and center. Expect a set built around that first chapter: big, gospel-tinged choruses, soul ballads that hit straight, and pop songwriting with real space for melody. Sandé’s way of mixing contemporary R&B, soul and gospel has always leaned on emotion and phrasing rather than flashy tricks, and live it tends to breathe even more.
This anniversary show is also a chance to hear how those early songs connect with everything that followed, from the more introspective turns of Long Live the Angels to the broader modern-soul and pop angles she’s explored since. A night shaped like a rewind, but played from where she stands now.
