Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour during which the band will perform in full the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer, at the Casino de Paris.
Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording was completed shortly before Ian Curtis's death, and released posthumously in 1980. Since then, these two albums have regularly topped lists of landmark albums, compiled by critics as well as by the public.
A founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook revisited for the first time the foundational Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures in May 2010, on the occasion of a commemorative charity concert. Since then, he has continued this annual work of transmission by performing on stage the albums from the repertoire of his two bands, Joy Division and New Order.
This fidelity to his catalogue has thus led him to revisit Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still, Movement, Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life, Brotherhood, Technique, Republic, the Substance album as well as Get Ready.
Peter Hook thus continues to introduce or reintroduce his repertoire to generations of spectators around the world.
