DMA’s stop by Rough Trade Bristol on August 31, 2026 for a stripped-back acoustic in-store set celebrating their self-titled album. Formed in Sydney in 2012, the trio has built its identity around direct melodies, bright guitar lines and that slightly britpop-tinted indie rock drive that made early tracks like “Delete” hit fast. On stage, Tommy O’Dell’s vocals sit upfront while Matt Mason and Johnny Took lock the songs into something both lean and catchy, always focused on the chorus.
Over the years, DMA’s have widened the palette without losing the guitar core, flirting at times with bigger, more danceable textures as heard on The Glow, while keeping the writing tight and immediate across albums like Hills End, For Now, and How Many Dreams?. This Bristol date is a chance to hear that catalog in a more intimate format, closer to the bones of the songs, with the new record at the center of the set.
