Born in 1997 in Punjab and based between India and Canada, Karan Aujla belongs to a generation that reconnected Punjabi pop with the codes of rap and trap. Initially identified as a lyricist for other artists, he gradually took the mic to establish a hybrid style, blending sung refrains, tight verses and bhangra textures that recur as a signature. His tracks often hinge on the back-and-forth between everyday life, diasporic identity, and imagery of the contemporary Punjabi scene, with production firmly anchored in the Indo-Canadian wave.
After the album B.T.F.U. (BacThaFu*Up) conceived with Tru Skool, closer to bhangra arrangements, he went on to Way Ahead, Four You, then Making Memories, a more melodic project shaped with Ikky, where Punjabi rap and R&B influences intersect. He will perform in concert on October 1, 2026 at the Utilita Arena Birmingham, in Birmingham.
