On August 22, 2026, Camille Doe's Check This Out residency intersects with the Gudu Records imprint at Mia Mao, presenting a lineup oriented toward house, UK garage, and the legacies of British rave.
Camille Doe, at the helm of the project, offers a selection that moves from chunky house to UKG rhythms, with samples and club-ready vocals. Her mixing approach, taut yet flexible, plays on gradual build-ups and round basslines, somewhere between sound-system culture and dancefloor efficiency.
The Matrefakt duo (Liverpool) navigates between house, techno, acid, and breaks, with a taste for machines and raw textures. Familiar with labels like Gudu or Running Back, they carry a direct analog sound and also run their own outfit, Attitudes To Life, to push their aesthetics further.
Across Scotland, Ewan McVicar arrives with a house nourished by rave culture, percussion-driven and upfront, in the vein of tracks that have lit up clubs in recent years. Finally, Lu.Re brings its mix of UK garage, breaks and club music, where the vocal takes center stage, between short refrains and punchy basslines.
