Eyehategod is coming to Strange Brew in Bristol on November 11, 2026, bringing with it what they have carried since the late 1980s from the underbelly of New Orleans: a rough sludge metal style wedged between slow doom, rasping hardcore punk, and twisted blues. On stage, everything hinges on the constant tension between heavy, repetitive riffs, nervous accelerations, feedback pushed to the breaking point, and Mike IX Williams’s rasping voice as he spits dark, urban lyrics marked by addiction and paranoia. Led notably by guitarist Jimmy Bower, the band has helped shape part of the NOLA aesthetic and continues to defend a deliberately raw, unpolished sound designed to hit the gut rather than to seduce.
As the opening acts, Rwake and Intercourse complete the bill, with approaches tailored to stay in those heavy, abrasive zones where metal rubs against noise and hardcore.
