Jérémy Dutcher is a tenor, composer, and ethnomusicologist from the Neqotkuk (Tobique) First Nation in Canada. At the crossroads of classical music, jazz, and experimental pop, he develops a distinctive body of work where contemporary creation and cultural transmission converge. A Wolastoqey-language singer, whose language is endangered, he reinterprets the chants of his ancestors to create contemporary works that carry memory, resilience, and hope. A two-time Polaris Music Prize laureate, he has established himself as an important voice on the Canadian scene.
In concert at the Charlie Chaplin Cultural Centre on November 24, 2026, accompanied by a trio, he offers an immersive experience, where identity, spirituality, and commitment intertwine.
