Hail The Sun lands in Glasgow on November 7, 2026 at the Cathouse with its nerve-wracking post-hardcore, tailor-made for those who like it when things speed up, diverge, and land back in just at the right moment. Formed in 2009 in Chico, California, the quartet has forged a distinctive identity by blending the genre's frontline energy with prog and math-rock sensibilities, tight tempo changes, and a screamo tension that surfaces without warning.
In the center, Donovan Melero leads the charge with high-pitched vocals, all while playing drums, which gives the live show a distinctive, almost physical dynamic. Around him, incisive guitars, a nimble bass, and precisely timed breaks slot into a dense, ever-moving writing. From the debut album POW! Right in the Kisser! through Divine Inner Tension, via Wake, Culture Scars or Mental Knife, Hail The Sun has honed this formula without smoothing it out: taut melodies, controlled aggression, and a precision that never cuts the momentum.
