Wolf Parade is returning to perform in Montreal on December 11, 2026, at MTELUS, with their distinctive blend of nervy indie rock and post-punk tensions. Formed in the city in 2003 around Spencer Krug, Dan Boeckner, and Arlen Thompson, the band became known for tracks with angular guitars, saturated keyboards, and tight rhythms, carried by voices that respond to each other and almost contradict one another. From Apologies to the Queen Mary to the more labyrinthine detours of At Mount Zoomer, and then to the more direct format of Expo 86, Wolf Parade has always moved forward through subtle shifts rather than ruptures. After a hiatus, the return came with more structured songs where piano and synths take a larger share, before Thin Mind drove home the emphasis on electronic textures and repetitive motifs. On stage, this translates into songs that rise quickly, intertwine, and maintain that sense of controlled imbalance that defines their signature.
