Info
If Birds on a Wire keeps audiences as rapt as it does, it’s because everything rests on a simple yet highly vibrant setup: a voice and a cello. The duo brings together Rosemary Standley, a Franco-American singer also known for Moriarty, and Dom La Nena, Brazilian cellist and singer based in Paris. Together, they weave a repertoire where chamber folk crosses with song, pop, early music, and traditional tunes, moving from one language to another without ever forcing it.
Their playground is covers and reinterpretation: pared-down, highly crafted versions, where the arrangement becomes a staging. After Ramages (2020), they continued with Nuées Ardentes (2025), an album about adolescence, which traverses Bronski Beat, The Cure, The Doors, Barbara as well as Stefano Landi, with the Maîtrise de Radio France conducted by Sofi Jeannin. To be seen on 26 February 2027 at the Théâtre Cinéma Jacques Prévert in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
