Metropolis Music presents Nao in concert on August 12, 2026 at NT’s Loft in London. Born in Nottingham, Neo Jessica Joshua has established herself under the name Nao with a contemporary soul that delights in blurring the lines: supple R&B, funk grooves, electronic touches and airy melodies, with the famous 'wonky funk' she has championed since her beginnings. Trained in vocal jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she first cut her teeth as a backing singer, notably with the vocal group The Boxettes, before launching her solo project with the EPs So Good (2014) and 15 February (2015). Since then, Nao has built a discography that progresses at its own pace: For All We Know (2016), Saturn (2018), And Then Life Was Beautiful (2021) and Jupiter (2025). On stage, her songs gain notable breadth, propelled by a precise voice and productions crafted for live performance, balancing the warmth of R&B with electronic pulsations. Special guests will join the lineup to complete the bill.
