Tangerine Dream returns to Poland with the Level Tour 2027, and on 14 May 2027 they will perform in Warsaw, at Progresja. The legendary Berlin group, founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese, has for decades steered the direction of electronic music: hypnotic sequences, ambient textures, and long, evolving forms that built what today is called the Berlin School. Live, the band likes to mix material from the 1970s canon with newer pieces continuing the threads of The Quantum Years — without a museum display, but with room for improvisation.
After Froese’s death in 2015, Tangerine Dream continues with a lineup that guards the spirit of the original but adds its own chapter: Thorsten Quaeschning (musical director), Hoshiko Yamane, and Paul Frick. This lineup has returned to the classic, sequencer-driven sound known from their breakthroughs, while also developing it toward contemporary electronics. The group’s concerts are often capped by an extended, real-time live session — there you can hear best what space music means to them: movement, not reconstruction.
