Arrested Development returns to the stage on August 26, 2026 at The Button Factory in Dublin, with its alternative hip-hop born in Atlanta at the turn of the 1990s. Led by Speech and fed by a soul and funk groove, the collective quickly stood out for writing that turned toward social, spiritual and political questions, counter to the codes of the dominant rap of the era.
The concert will be an opportunity to dive back into the group's DNA revealed by 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of..., with those tracks that marked their rise, from Tennessee to People Everyday, including Mr. Wendal. A period crowned by a Grammy Award that established Arrested Development as a distinct project—more melodic, more conscious, always carried by the sense of the chorus and the message.
After the 2000s, the group pursued its path more independently, releasing albums and touring, without letting go of that blend of musical warmth and social commentary. Today, the lineup centers on Speech, One Love, JJ Boogie and Fareedah Aleem, for a set that straddles classics and newer tracks.
