On September 8, 2026, The Rasmus bring their Helsinki-bred rock to The Opera House in Toronto. Formed in 1994, the band has always played with contrasts: sharp riffs and catchy hooks, a darker melodic edge, and a knack for turning alternative rock into big, direct songs. From the early, restless energy of their first records to the wider breakthrough of Dead Letters and the era of “In the Shadows”, they’ve kept refining that mix of pop rock, hard rock and shadowy atmospheres. In recent years, they’ve pushed further into sleeker, more electronic textures, while staying built for the stage.
Opening the night, London’s Saint Agnes operates where alternative metal, industrial punch, post-punk tension and dark pop meet. Led by vocalist Kitty A. Austen, the band balances abrasive guitars and tight, dry rhythms with a cinematic sense of mood, switching between pressure and release without sticking to classic rock formulas.
Also on the bill, Death Valley Dreams adds a more nocturnal, introspective angle, blending indie and alternative rock with synth-rock shades. Textured guitars, melancholic keys and intimate songwriting shape dense, late-night songs that hit emotionally without overplaying it.
