Benwal arrives in Edinburgh with his upfront, no-nonsense approach to the dancefloor: electronic music nourished by hard trance, hard house and rave, always with that 90s vibe that sticks to the skin. Behind this alias, the Dutch producer Gijs van Ringen builds sets designed to sustain the tension, balancing euphoric pads, crisp builds and rhythms that hit just the right note, without losing the groove.
Active since 2022, he quickly racks up dates and appearances, from festivals in Groningen to Eurosonic Noorderslag, while honing a sound tailored for long club nights.
