On March 4, 2027, the Glenn Miller Orchestra for Europe, conducted by Uli Plettendorff, will bring the program “Swing Forever” to the stage at Glocke in Bremen. The centerpiece is the sound Glenn Miller shaped in the Big Band era: precise brass sections, smooth saxophone lines, and arrangements that swing between Sweet and Swing.
In addition to the instrumental classics, the vocal elements will also receive ample space. A female lead vocalist and the five-member vocal group “Moonlight Serenaders,” modeled after the Modernaires, complement the typical orchestral sound with tight harmonies and charming refrains. Thus unfolds an evening of music that does not rely on nostalgia but on the interplay of drive, detail, and this clear, danceable sound aesthetic, for which the Glenn Miller Orchestra remains true to this day.
