Pussy Riot: Riot Days lands in Bristol on 18 November 2026 with a hybrid form that blends live music, theatre and imagery, carried by the Russian feminist collective that has become a symbol of protest. Conceived by Maria Alyokhina from her book, the show traces Pussy Riot’s history through its actions, its trials and political repression, while continually rewriting itself in response to current events.
On stage, spoken word, live instrumentation, videos and performance interweave to tell from the inside what it means to protest, resist, organise. Riot Days speaks of freedom, fear, solidarity and dissent, with a personal narration that leaves as much room for words as for electric tensions. Already performed hundreds of times, this stage narrative continues its journey as a living journal, where art and politics rub shoulders without filter.
