Manchester four-piece Westside Cowboy stop by Resident Music in Brighton on 19 August 2026 for an in-store set and signing to mark the arrival of their debut full-length. Built around Reuben Haycocks, James Bradbury, Aoife Anson O’Connell and Paddy Murphy, the band plays with that tight, collective push that makes the songs feel lived-in rather than polished.
Their sound sits in the cracks between country, indie rock and art rock: wide-open melodies, twitchy guitars, and choruses that land without trying to cosplay American roots music. They’ve called it “Britainicana”, and it fits—familiar shapes, but with rough edges and a distinctly UK bite. After the EP So Much Country ’Till We Get There and a run of shows that’s taken them from UK tours to festivals and support slots, this Brighton date is a chance to catch the songs up close, in a stripped-back setting, before you go back to replaying them at home.
