Yard Act return with an album-launch show to accompany the release of their third album, You’re Gonna Need A Little Music. On July 24, 2026, the Leeds quartet will take over Chalk in Brighton and Hove for a set conceived as a live introduction to this new chapter, balancing rhythmic tension with indie rock that keeps moving.
Since their beginnings, they have established themselves with a distinctive way of telling the everyday: quick lyrics, a sharp eye, dry humor, and a storytelling sensibility that hooks from the opening bars. On stage, it preserves this direct, no-frills side, powered by James Smith’s voice and a rhythm section that can both hammer away and let the music breathe.
This date offers the opportunity to hear the new songs in their most vibrant form, as close as possible to the band's energy, uncompromising and with that writing that is their signature.
