Info
Portuguese singer and Eurovision winner Salvador Sobral presents his first album featuring exclusively Brazilian composers. Titled “A Flor do Recomeço” (The Flower of Restarting), the album was recorded in São Paulo and produced by Brazilians Marcus Preto and Tó Brandileone, with a release scheduled for the second half of the year. The record features a lineup of previously unreleased songs written specifically for Sobral by artists such as Adriana Calcanhotto, Arnaldo Antunes, Chico César, Céu, Marcelo Camelo, Mallu Magalhães, Marcos Valle, and Tim Bernardes.
The title is drawn from a poem by writer Eveline Sin, set to music by Chico César. For Sobral, this project is a personal journey back to his musical foundations: “I am convinced that music was born in Brazil. I grew up listening to Maria Bethânia in my mother’s car and Chico César in my father’s.
This album stems from the need to go to the origin to deepen and uncover the sounds of this side of the Atlantic.
Brought to life on stage at Union Chapel on 24 April 2027 at 5:30 pm by a lineup of musicians:
