Le Tangram presents Kalika at Kubb. At the crossroads of intimate confession and a pop manifesto, Kalika cultivates a trash-pop that is light-years away from sanitized productions. A direct, corrosive sound, with lyrics oscillating between raw poetry and unapologetic sarcasm, and a singular aesthetic that makes it seem as if she escaped from a manga or a video game.
A disenchanted princess, Kalika is a gypsy-leaning Lady Gaga who might have crossed paths with Alice Glass (Crystal Castles) and Catherine Ringer. After more than 200 concerts during the tour of her debut album, she hits the road again to champion Ma Claque, an even more abrasive new project. A tense pop in which she expresses her anger, her fatigue, and an irrepressible urge to explode.
