Dead Poet Society lands at The Academy, in Dublin, on January 31, 2027, with their taut and nerve-wracking alt-rock, born in Boston around four musicians who studied at the Berklee College of Music. Led by Jack Underkofler's vocals, the band pushes forward with heavy riffs, catchy melodies, and a tight rhythm section, somewhere between the post-grunge heritage, hard rock, and noisier textures.
After a string of EPs (Axiom, Weapons, Dempsey) that laid the groundwork, Dead Poet Society broadened the frame with the album -!- (2021): a denser, abrasive yet legible format, built on the contrast between tension and memorable hooks. Based in Los Angeles, they continued with Fission (2024), maintaining the same direct, front-facing approach while expanding the play on dynamics and arrangements. On stage, it promises a direct, physical set, no-nonsense, where the guitars take center stage.
