If a key part of modern metal is about balancing weight and melody, Black Veil Brides have been playing that line since the late 2000s. Built around vocalist Andy Biersack and sharpened after the move to Los Angeles, the band mixes metalcore roots with a more classic hard-rock drive, big choruses, and that unmistakable 80s-glam silhouette. Over the years, they’ve shifted from the raw punch of We Stitch These Wounds to the more arena-ready Set the World on Fire, then pushed the format further with the cinematic, concept-leaning Wretched and Divine. With guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, and drummer Christian “CC” Coma, the group keeps the riffs tight and the hooks front and center, revisiting early material on Re-Stitch These Wounds and leaning into a sleeker modern-metal edge on The Phantom Tomorrow.
