If you follow Chelsea Wolfe, you know that since the late 2000s she has been drawing her own grey area between dark folk, gothic rock, doom, noise and experimentation. From the raw, spare atmosphere of The Grime and the Glow and Apokalypsis to the more acoustic Unknown Rooms, and then the heavier, more densely built records Pain Is Beauty, Abyss and Hiss Spun: each time she nudges the contrast between fragility and weight a notch further. Live, it's all about that tension: whisper-singing that can suddenly cut, lumbering riffs, industrial undertones and moments that feel almost bare. On November 21, 2026, she brings The Dark – World Tour to TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
A.A. Williams opens the evening with a set that pairs classically trained precision with dark folk and post-rock. Since her first EP (2019), she has been building songs that can glow slowly and then open up into expansive guitars and tight dynamics, with Forever Blue and As The Moon Rests as touchstones. Don't expect any frills: a deep voice, polished melodies and tension that gradually intensifies, somewhere between intimate and menacing.
