The Ark

If you grew up with Swedish glam rock that embraces XXL choruses and glittering guitars, The Ark is back to come get you in Helsinki. On August 5, 2026, the band led by Ola Salo will check into Allas Live in Helsinki for a concert that should span from early psychedelic art rock to a more upfront pop rock, tailored for group singing. Formed in the early 1990s around Salo, Mikael Jepson and Lars Ljungberg, The Ark quickly built a highly crafted aesthetic, balancing theatricality and rock energy. Songs like It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane opened the way to a string of albums where the band refined its writing, from In Lust We Trust to State of the Ark, before the more festive turn of Prayer for the Weekend and the Eurovision episode with The Worrying Kind. Reformed since 2020 for a new concert tour, The Ark places renewed emphasis on the live stage: melodic hooks, crisp riffs, and that showmanship that has always defined them.
